Bruce Miles Voiceover Workshops - Wednesday Night Fun!

When one commercial read in the Phoenix market pays you $275 to $375, and one hour of narration pays $400, this is a small investment in your future.

For Beginners, Intermediate, and Experienced voice talent this is your chance to practice, learn and practice some more with a very experienced, full-time voice actor.

I've been a voice artist for over 30 years, voicing literally thousands of radio and television commercials locally, nationally and around the world. I've also voiced cartoons, audio books, and narrated everything from outdoor hunting shows to surgeries.

For two and a half hours each Wednesday workshop participants will get to read lots and lots of copy solo and with other attendees. I'll give helpful direction and tips, plus marketing advice for those who want to pursue a career in voiceover. Much of this copy is very funny so we're guaranteed some good laughs!

Beginners - Have you been told you have a great or interesting voice and you want to try an inexpensive way to see if voiceover work is for you? Here's your chance to read copy, learn from an expert and get professional advice on what it will take to meet your dreams.

Intermediates - Do you have acting or public speaking experience? Have you done occasional voice projects and now want to take it to the next level? This is a great workshop for you. We read all kinds of different copy, listen, learn, and then read some more. Also learn more about today's voice market and the steps you'll need to take to make it there.

Experienced Voice Actors - We can never stop learning and trying new things. Here's an opportunity to hone your skills, open your mind to new approaches to performing and marketing, and most of all to just have fun doing what you love to do, and do it with a friendly audience.

Workshops are Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the beautiful Famous Army Studio near 35th Avenue and Bell Road in Northwest Phoenix. The fee is $40 in advance and reservations are needed. The fee is just $35 if you pay for three or more sessions at the same time. Class size will be limited so everyone gets plenty of chances to read a wide variety of material every night. The last workshp of this series is June 30 of this year.

We won't be recording our sessions during these first workshops, but I'll be able to give you good advice on setting up an inexpensive recording system in your own home so you can practice on your own.
